Chief Executive Andrew Cogan Andrew Cogan has been chief executive of COVER since 2000. Previously a FE/HE college manager and senior lecturer, he has a long-standing interest in the VCS and has experience as both a trustee and volunteer. He has three university degrees as well as qualifications in marketing and management. Email Andrew Other staff members Nikki Bennett, VCS Strategic Skills Manager Nikki's main role is to increase VCS readiness and capacity to bid for, and deliver, LSC mainstream and ESF work through tendering. Email Nikki Jan Cunningham, EU Programmes Manager Jan Cunningham joined Cover in May 2005 as regional ChangeUp programme manager, and is now EU programmes manager. Email Jan Abi Patience, Policy & Comms Manager Abi joined COVER in July 2009. Her role is to influence regional and national policy, carry out research to improve the body of evidence available to the sector, and communicate news and information about emerging issues to the sector in a useful format. Email Abi Katy Harbottle, Info & Comms Officer Katy joined COVER in April 2010. Her role is to facilitate an increase in VCS engagement with, and influence on, the regional and national policy agenda and to communicate news and information about emerging issues to the sector in a useful format. She is responsible for the monthly Summary on a Page (SOAP) and providing content for the e-bulletin. Email KatyJudith Hartley, Finance & Office Manager Judith joined COVER in 2001, having previously worked for several other VCS organisations. She is responsible for the smooth running of the office premises, project administration and financial management of COVER, ably assisted by a small team of administrators. Email Judith Mandy Crawley, Administrator Mandy joined COVER in January 2003 and works part-time, sharing the administrator role with Sue West. She has responsibility for membership admin, some personnel admin and provides admin support to the CEO and Board of Trustees. Email Mandy Susan West, Administrator Sue joined COVER in June 2006 and job shares the general office administration role with Mandy Crawley. She also handles the administration for various Learning & Skills Council and EEDA funded projects and carries out day to day book-keeping. Email Susan Janice Mossey, Administrator Janice joined COVER in October 2007. Her duties include the administration of various meetings such as those for the LSC Skills projects and the Health and Social Care Cluster. Email Janice Leyla Newling, Finance Administrator Leyla joined COVER in May 2005 as the administrator for the ChangeUp Project. She now deals with payroll and pensions for COVER staff. Leyla is currently on maternity leave. | Chair of Trustees Mark Mitchell Mark started a three-year term as Chair of COVER in November 2007. He has been chief executive of Community Action Dacorum (previously Dacorum CVS) for the past 4 years and has been with the organisation for 11 years. He is also a trustee of Dacorum District CAB, Dacorum Action on Disability and the Tring Youth Project. Mark sees COVER's role as ensuring the voluntary sector retains clear communication with regional agencies, promoting understanding of government thinking and drawing together regional and cross-county partnerships to engage with the statutory sector.
