Learn East
Learn East is the network of the 6 Eastern Region third sector learning and skills consortia and COVER, with each member representing its own partnership of member organisations.
The network exists to provide both stakeholders and prime contract holders, from all strategic funding streams, with a single point of contact with which to engage the third sector. Learn East also provides its extended membership of third sector providers with:
- Relevant, up-to-date information about developments in the learning and skills arena
- Potential sub-contracting opportunities and;
- Support for partnership working both internally and cross sectors.

The Contribution of the Third Sector in Learning and Skills
This regional event held at the Royal Cambridge Hotel in Cambridge brought together third sector learning providers, local authority commissioners and prime contractors of learning and skills provision.
Designed to show case the diverse nature and added value of Third Sector learning delivery the event offered delegates the opportunity to see what support is being offered to providers from local and regional infrastructure networks and hear first-hand about examples of excellent learning provision and partnership work.
Speakers included Cheryl Turner from the Learning and Skills Council who presented the recent research "The Contribution of the Third Sector in Learning and Skills" and Lisa Vernon from the Third Sector National Learning Alliance who spoke abou the developments within this new independent representative body for Third Sector learning providers.
