Communicating
An important part of what COVER does is communicate. We bring together useful information, news and resources for the sector and circulate them as widely as possible. We communicate with regional and national decision makers about what the sector needs, and respond to consultations.
We produce a variety of written publications, though a lot of the communication is verbal through individual contacts and meetings (for example the work referred to in the 'Networking and Representation' section of this website). COVER members can request briefings on particular issues which are affecting them. Where possible we will produce these in addition to our other work. We may levy a small charge, depending on the nature of the work.
By keeping our finger on the pulse of what's happening in the sector we are able to analyse current and future trends which may be relevant. We sometimes carry out pieces of research to fill evidence gaps. Please contact us if you would like us to speak at an event or provide an article for a publication about current sector issues.
This section of our website includes:
- A list of COVER publications including our monthly 'Summary on a Page', and a number of one-off pieces of work
- Recent editions of our fortnightly e-bulletin which highlights key developments in regional agendas such as skills, health and social care, funding and business support, training and networking opportunities, and recent news of relevance to the sector.
- A sector news page which summarises key news articles published on the websites of government departments, third sector infrastructure and research organisations, third sector funders and relevant journals and news sites
- A page which highlights research, toolkits and publications from other organisations which may be of use to the sector
