About COVER
COVER was founded in 1999 as the Community and Voluntary Forum: Eastern Region. We are a registered charity no.1085380 and a company limited by guarantee no.3850130.
We are a representative body for the voluntary and community sector in the region, which includes the six county areas of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk (as shown on the map below). COVER is a membership organisation, guided by trustees elected from our membership. Each of our full members is a network in its own right, giving us reach right across the voluntary sector and the region.
Our Vision is of a just and inclusive society for the East of England that recognises and supports the value, and values, of the community and voluntary sector.
Our Mission is to increase voluntary and community sector regional influence, activity and recognition.
Our Aim is to be recognised as the authoritative agency of the community and voluntary sector at the regional level in the east of England.
COVER is funded by the East of England Development Agency, the European Union through the European Social Fund, and others. You can view key organisational documents such as annual reviews, reports and accounts in the
COVER publications section.
